{Why they don’t want your child to face front in a pushchair}

The boffins in white coats have raised the objection over front facing baby pushchairs

The Scientists claim that studies have conclusively shown a forward facing pushchair could harm your child emotionally and increase mental stress. The advisement is that the parent have the kiddy looking at them perpetually.

There is so much going on in the world beyond you that you child will miss if you smother them.

Don't you also think that the urge to stare at your child constantly will decrease your spatial awareness, forcing you to make mistakes with the pushchair. I mean, don't our kids get enough of us at home, babies propped up to face us as we settle in for a night in front of the tv, or huddled over them for hours as they squirm in their cots.

why enage when we are outside, when at home we are their focus.

I tend to think that science stopped doing its important work for a bit of fun study.

I'm not in support of ignoring your toddler, however a modicum of perspective eeds to be applied, in that a toddler will become bored just gawping at the same thing all day

A child's first few years are its most productive in terms of learning ability so I want my child to see as much as possible, experience variety, the big wide open ever changing world. I have no doubt my pulling faces gets boring to a degree and is no competition for the outside world.

The study also claims that a child has double the chance of drifting off to sleep if they are facing you, and a lower heart rate. The baby obviously became blase in my assessment and dozed off to nap.

In my view a increased heart is a natural thing for a child to experience when they see something.

Personally I would preach the front facing option as a tool to help your child to see the world in all its glory, however its up to you what's best for your toddler

Should you not want to choose one preferred pushchair, you could opt for a forward and rear facing britax vigour stroller which allows forward and rear facing options.

Bottom line, choose a baby pushchair you are happy to push and your child is comfortable in.
